Meet Sarah from Start Simple End Strong
Finding joy and happiness in a simple, purposeful life at home; homemaking made simple.

Welcome to Start Simple End Strong, a blog where I share inspiration, ideas, and encouragement for how to make homemaking as enjoyable, simple, and easy as possible, even when it gets busy and hectic with life.

It all began with a question. What can I do now that will make my job easier?
I am a homemaker and stay-at-home mom. I was becoming burnt out with all the “stuff” I needed to manage in our daily life. I needed a change!
I wrote a list of all the things in my life that were driving me nuts. If anything is driving you nuts, try doing this, it totally helps and gives you ideas for what you can change.
The one idea that kept getting repeated was, I’m tired of picking up stuff all the time. The kids’ toys were out of hand, I had created complicated organizational systems (I love organizing but the systems weren’t working), and I needed to simplify.

Let me tell you, there is light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to getting our homes and lives back under control. For me it was going through our home in 5-15 minute decluttering sessions, you can read more about that journey HERE. Eventually, my husband and I were able to get our home under control.
I share all that I have and continue to learn about homemaking, decluttering, organizing, and simplifying with you lovely folks.
Come along and join in on the journey of creating simple homemaking routines for simple living.

About me…
I am a wife to a wonderful, supportive husband named Greg and we have two sweet children.
I grew up in California and have lived in this beautiful state for over thirty years.
I am the oldest of four siblings. Growing up our house was crazy, loud, and chaotic but I wouldn’t have changed that for anything.
My husband and I met in 2012 while in college.
I became an elementary school teacher and my husband became a first-responder.
Once we started having kids I became a lion tamer (or stay-at-home mom). It’s been a wild ride since we met and married but oh so much fun!

Unique facts about me…
At any given time, I have two-three books that are either in the process of being read or on deck ready for me to read. If you have any great book recommendations, let me know. “Between the pages of a book is a lovely place to be.”― Anonymous
I grew up having fire trucks in my backyard. Yes, they were real!
I thoroughly enjoy working out.
My husband and I moved five times in five years.
My husband and kid’s birthdays are all within two weeks of each other.
