Try out 5 of the Best Stroller Fitness Workouts to get you and your family moving.
I am a busy stay-at-home mom to two little children. I love to workout but had a challenging fitting in time to workout. So I decided to load up children in the stroller and do a stroller fitness workout.
Just a reminder to check with your doctor before starting any fitness program, especially after having a baby. As with any workout program, if you feel faint, dizzy, or experience physical discomfort, you should stop immediately.
What will I need for these stroller fitness workouts?
Stroller (any will do). I have a double Bob stroller but used a single light weight stroller when we only had one child. Whatever stroller you have works.
Cell phone. To stream the workouts or to listen to some music or your favorite audio book.
Comfortable clothes and Supportive shoes.
Water. Make sure you stay hydrated throughout the workout.
What are optional materials for an added boost to these stroller fitness workouts?
Resistance bands. If you want to kick your workouts up a notch I recommend investing in some resistance bands. I will either place the bands around my calves or around my thighs (reminder to never put them around you ankle or knee). They help bring on the burn!
How to keep children entertained during a stroller fitness workout?
Do what works for you and your child (or children). But what works for my children are a few snacks, water, me staying moving, and a date with the playground after the workout is completed. Those few tips will usually allow me to squeeze in a 30 minute workout.
